The newly formed Grundy County 4H group, Buckington Barnstormers, met on November 17th at the Grundy County Extension office. President Bryce Ehlers ran the meeting and supporting officers were elected. Bennett Petersen was elected treasurer, Jace Petersen was elected reporter and the position of historian will rotate among members monthly.
The club discussed the FSQA training that member must attend to show livestock at fair. This training teaches the members the importance of raising their animals to produce a safe and high quality product.
Since this is a new club, the members designed a new logo for t-shirts that members and families will be encouraged to wear.
This months craft project was a glass jar modge podge project with autumn leaves and a tea light inside.
The Buckington Barnstormers finished their meeting with a presentation by Bennett and Jace Petersen on trailer safety and how to properly hook up a trailer to a truck.
