In a previous column, I mentioned that the library now offers LearningExpress library, an online learning platform providing interactive skill-building courses for children and adults. This service is available via the library website: www.reinbeck.lib.ia.us. Just click on the Learning Express icon, register by using your library card number, and you have unlimited access to over 770 up to date test preparation and skill-building resources including resume writing, official exams such as ACT, SAT, GED, EMT basic, postal worker, cosmetology, real estate agent, U. S. citizenship etc. It includes self-paced study, instant scoring, and diagnostic feedback, and can be accessed from an Internet connected computer. Try it out!

We have several new memorial books: Ten Years Later by Hoda Kotb, is in memory of Marguerite Clausman from Dr. Richard and Margaret Pfohl, Angels and Heroes by Robert Lesslie is in memory of Annabelle Ward from Irv and Joann Petersen, two large print books, The Uncommon Appeal of Clouds by Alexander McCall Smith and Private Berlin by James Patterson are in memory of Marguerite Clausman from Max and Jane Boller.

Other new books are a large print format of The Husband List by Janet Evanovich.

And the following nonfiction: My Beloved World by Sonia Sotomayor, Life After Death by Damien Echols, The Duck Commander Family by Willie Robertson, Here, There, Elsewhere: Stories from the Road by William Least Heat Moon and An Invisible Thread by Laura Schroff.

Fiction: Mrs. Lincoln's Dressmaker by Jennifer Chiaverini, Dream Eyes by Jayne Ann Krentz and Heron's Cove by Carla Neggers.

New young adult books are: Beautiful Chaos and Beautiful Redemption both by Kami Garcia.

Cal Turner did the children's story time on January 29. The next story time will be held on Tuesday, February 12 at 10:00 a.m. Michele Knaack will do the program.
