Make the Christmas journey with friends

November 25, 2012
Reinbeck Courier

Beginning November 29th, join friends and neighbors exploring the meaning of Christmas in a new way.

In the study, Adam Hamilton travels with us from Nazareth to Bethlehem in this fascinating look at the birth of Jesus Christ. Using historical information, archaeological findings, and personal reflections, Hamilton illuminates this most amazing moment in history. We follow the footsteps of Mary, Joseph, the shepherds, and others, gaining insight into the meaning of Christmas for us.

This will be explored at the Reinbeck United Methodist Church. The Thursday class starts November 29th with soup at 5:30 and class 5:45-6:45. An identical session will be held 9 a.m. Sunday mornings. They will explore the significance of this most important event in history. There will be additional classes scheduled during the week, including middle school and high school sessions on Wednesday at 6 p.m. Classes are free and open to the public.

In addition to the study all worship services and sermons, will follow up on the weekly study. The study was developed by Adam Hamilton, pastor of the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, Kansas, and is intended for anyone who is interested in the Christian faith.

Reinbeck United Methodist Church is located at Spruce and West St. in Reinbeck. For more information, contact Terry at 788-2310 or pastorrumc@reinbeck.net.
