Grundy County Memorial Hospital in need of volunteers

October 21, 2012
Reinbeck Courier

Grundy County Memorial Hospital (GCMH) is in need of volunteers to help in the East J Caf, at welcome desks, and with Long Term Care resident activities.

"The hospital offers numerous opportunities for individuals wishing to serve their community. Wherever your passion for service lies, we hope to provide you with a volunteer opportunity that fills your need and brings value to the hospital and our community," says Erin Schildroth.

Volunteers staff the East J Caf from 8:00 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 4:00 p.m. on weekdays. Two hospital welcome desks are also staffed by volunteers during the week. Volunteers help with Long Term Care activities like bingo and wheelchair square dancing during the week and on nights and weekends. Seventy-five volunteers from Conrad, Gladbrook, Grundy Center, Holland, Lincoln, Reinbeck, and Wellsburg currently serve the hospital.
