On Thursday, September 13 at 1:30 the library will sponsor a program by the daughters of Al Bell, a man who traveled the world in the 50s, 60s and 70s and gave presentations about his travels at Iowa schools. This program is free and open to the public. It will be held at Westview Estates. Several people have written their memories of Al Bell, or told how he influenced them. We have these posted on a bulletin board at the library, and will share them with Al's daughters. We would like to have more written memoirs to share. Please turn them into the library before the 13th. The program will include an original Al Bell film, and his daughters, Becky and Rhea will share their memories and have a time for questions and answers.

ALSO, story time for young children begins on Tuesday, September 4 at 10:00. Cherie Eckhoff will do the first program. Her theme is monkeys. Story time will continue on Tuesdays at 10:00 during the school year.
