By Janet Slessor On Saturday, June 29, the library will be hosting a paper folding class with Shari (Wildman) Hudson from 1:00 -3:30. The class is limited to eight people and requires a preregistration fee of $25.00.Everything is included in the cost. New books at the library this week include Nonfiction: “The War Letters of Lindsay Keith” given to us by the Keith family. This is correspondence from World War I. Also, “Furious Hours: Murder,Fraud, and the Last Trial of Harper Lee” by Casey Cep, and “The Moment of Lift” by Melinda Gates. Fiction: “Sunset Beach” by Mary Kay Andrews, “Nothing to Hide” by Allison Brennan, “The Guest Book” by Sarah Blake, “The View From Alameda Island” by Robyn Carr, “The Big Kahuna” by Janet Evanovich, “The Road Home” by Richard Paul Evans, “The Yankee Widow” by Linda Lael Miller, “Again but Better” by Christine Riccio. Audio books on CD: “The Calhouns Collection” by Nora Roberts (5 stories). Children’s books: “Howard Wallace, P.I.”, “Shadow of a Pug” and “Sabatage Stage Left” all by Casey Lyall.

The residents at Westview, along with Scott Kiburis’s World History class at Gladbrook-Reinbeck High School and some Reinbeck community members had the opportunity to hear author - Karl Schaper speak on Friday, May 3rd. Karl told what it was like for him to grow up in Germany during W.W. II. Karl has written “Three Towers of Home” - a historical fiction book about a German teenage boy who got captured by the Russian solders after the war. The Reinbeck library has a copy of this book, which is available for check out.
