The library has received $90 worth of children’s books from the grandchildren of Donna Brandt, in honor of Donna’s 90th birthday: “Winnie’s Great War” by Lindsay Mattick, “A Dog’s Tale” by Dan Grunwald, “Good Night Biscuit” by Alyssa Satin Capucilli, “No Dragons For Tea” by Jean Pendziwol, “I Survived the Attack of the Grizzlies, 1967” by Lauren Tarshis, “How to Be a Good Creature” by Sy Montgomery, “The Princess in Black and the Science Fair Scare” and “The Goodnight Train Rolls on” by June Sobel. Other new books are Nonfiction: “In Pieces” by Sally Field, “Whiskey in a Teacup” by Reese Witherspoon. Fiction” “Echoes of Evil” by Heather Graham, “The Memory Watcher” and “The Thinnest Air” both by Minka Kent, “Desolation Mountain” by William Kent Krueger, “Why Not Tonight? By Susan Mallery, “Red War” by Kyle Mills. Large print: “Second Time Sweeter” by Beverly Jenkins and “Digging in” by Loretta Nyhan. Our next story time for children will be held Tuesday, October 16 at 10:00, with G-R students reading . We are also planning a Halloween party for children on Saturday, October 17 at 10:00. Watch for more information on this. Also, be sure to stop in during October and look at the 4-H items in the library display case. October 7-13 is National 4-H Week.
