On March 3 we held two events at the library. At 10:00 a.m. we had a Dr. Seuss birthday party, complete with cake, crafts, stories, and a Reader's Theater with Dr. Seuss characters. The rest of the day we served coffee and cookies to people who came in to look through our many scrapbooks. This includes 4-H, Reinbeck High School, family histories, Reinbeck history, and the Theater Guild. We had many request to leave our scrapbook display up for a while, so during the month of March, we will have them up on table in the reading area. Enjoy!

Also, on Tuesday, April 3 at 2:30 p.m. we will be having a program at Westview: Dementia Conversations, an hour long presentation by staff from the Alzheimer's Association East Central Office. This program talks about how to have honest and caring conversations with family members about making legal and financial plans. It is free and open to the public.

New materials at the library include:

Nonfiction: "The Rock, the Road, and the Rabbi" by Kathie Lee Gifford; Braving the Wilderness by Brene Brown.

Fiction: Heat Storm by Richard Castle, Up in Flames by Heather Graham, Shallow Grave by Karen Harper, The Family Next Door by Sally Hepworth, The Woman Left Behind by Linda Howard, Ruthless by Lisa Jackson, Surrender by Joan Johnston, Night Moves by Jonathan Kellerman, The first Kiss of Spring by Emily March, Red Sparrow by Jason Matthews, As Bright as Heaven by Susan Meissner, Fifty Fifty by James Patterson, Once Again by Nora Roberts, The Kremlin Conspiracy by Joel Rosenberg, Missing, Presumed by Susie Steiner.

Large Print: Death Below Stairs by Jennifer Ashley, and Bleak Landing by Terrie Todd.

We also have a new children's book, I've Loved You Since Forever by Hoda Kotb.
