NEW HAMPTON - The South Hardin-BCLUW wrestling team advanced four wrestlers through to next Saturday's district meet, led by Class 2A Section 1 champion Taylor Kolthoff at 113 pounds.

Kolthoff (28-6) won his bracket with a pin in the semifinals followed by a 5-0 decision of Charles City's Bronson Forsyth in the title bout.

The Storm, who placed third out of six teams with 166 points, had three wrestlers earn runner-up spots with wrestle-back victories. Two others lost in the battle for true second, while another didn't get the chance.

Coby Willett was defeated by New Hampton/Turkey Valley's Max Babcock in a second-period pin during the championship match at 132, but Willett (35-6) pinned Hampton-Dumont's Parker Allen in 2:26 to earn true second place.

Koty Kruse (26-18) at 145 followed suit, falling in 56 seconds to top-ranked Noah Fye of NHTV, but he scored a 3-1 win over Cole Reams of Charles City for true second.

Heavyweight Ryne Fuller (31-14) closed out the meet with a pinfall victory over NHTV's Tom Clark in the wrestleback round, making it four Storm wrestlers advancing to the District 1 meet at Parkersburg.

Gladbrook-Reinbeck/North Tama had a pair of third-place finishers, neither of which got the opportunity to wrestle back for true second. Cole Engel (20-27) placed third at 113 and Bronson Wrage (22-7) got bronze at 195.
