Rebels run roughshod on GMG

GARWIN - The Gladbrook-Reinbeck football extended its current winning streak to 26-straight games with a 46-0 route of GMG on the road Friday night.

Hunter Lott had two passing touchdowns, one rushing touchdown and a fumble return for a touchdown for the Class A No. 2 Rebels, while Josh Peterson ran for 66 yards and scored two touchdowns on the ground.

Matt Johannsen reeled in three passes for 113 yards with a touchdown, and Walker Thede had five grabs for 59 yards and another score. Thede also made a 44-yard field goal in the third quarter.

G-R (4-0) held the Wolverines (0-4) to 65 yards of total offense and forced four turnovers on the night.

Brock Baldazo led GMG in receiving with 20 yards while Cade Bovenmyer had 23 yards on the ground. Adam Cox also chipped in an interception for the Wolverines.
