Dale M. Renner, 82, died Sept. 16 at Grandview Acres in Toledo.


SEPT. 18, 1997

Reinbeck Jaycees plan fundraiser auction on Sept. 21 at Elmwood Park shelter house.

City Council set speed limit on Pioneer Road.

A stained glass window was dedicated on Sept. 4 at the UCC Church in memory of B. Lyle Robinson. Harry Beebe of Cedar Falls created the window which required four months to complete.

Naomi Roberts will celebrate her 95th birthday on Sept. 21 with a card shower.

William Virchow, 69, Hudson, died on Sept. 10.

Beth Miell & LaWayne Rogers were married on August 23 at the home of the bride's parents.


SEPT. 24, 1987

The long awaited demolition project of the old hotel and several other buildings is scheduled to start on Sept. 28.

Mr. & Mrs. Daryl Downey are parents of a son born Sept. 13.

Alyce McDowell, 85, Reinbeck, died Sept. 19.

Jennifer Peters, 4 1/2, Wellsburg, died Sept. 20 after a lengthy illness.

Mr. & Mrs. Harry Beebe, Cedar Falls, will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary.

Janelle Glasener & Robert Koeningsfeld were married Sept. 5.


SEPT. 29, 1977

Thieves stole household items valued at $1,000 from the home of Bernita Newell.

Lincoln Savings Bank is observing their 75th anniversary on Oct. 1.

Steve Barnes & Paulette Engel were married Sept. 10 in Davenport, Iowa.

Jane Witt & James Siemens were married Sept. 17.

Wayne Brown, Sr., died Sept. 27 of an apparent heart attack.

Robert Bartusch, 51, Voorhies, died Sept. 24 of a heart attack.


SEPT. 28, 1967

Three die in a two car crash at the junction of Dinsdale-Lincoln road and Hwy 63. Dead are Roy Dahms, Gladbrook; Gilmon Dahms, 51, Azuza, Calif. and Lester Boerm of Toledo.

George Specht, 84, died Sept. 22 of a heart attack at Parkview.

Albert Raum, 59, was severely burned at the Paul Greiner farm when he was filling a gasoline tank and some gas splashed on him, moments later he lit a cigarette and the gasoline puffed into flames.

Ben Beckwith, 91, formerly of Morrison, died Sept. 23 at Parkview.

Vernon Miller, Jr. narrowly escaped serious injury at the Fred Strohbehn farm when a hydraulic truck box he was repairing fell on him. He suffered a badly fractured right arm.

Carla Beckwith, Morrison, & Mark Nash, Reinbeck, were married on Sept. 23.
