GLADBROOK - Hunter Lott threw three touchdown passes and ran for a career-high 241 yards as the Class A No. 2 Gladbrook-Reinbeck football team opened District 5 play with a 42-0 rout of North Tama on Friday night at "The Pit."

Walker Thede broke open the game's scoring with a 40-yard touchdown run, and the Rebels (3-0, 1-0) ran away with their 26th consecutive victory, taking a 28-0 lead into halftime thanks to a pair of touchdown passes from Hunter Lott to Matt Johannsen in the second quarter.

Thede tossed a 10-yard scoring pass to Gage Murty with 18 seconds left before halftime to up the Rebels' advantage.

Lott hooked up with Bryce Schick for a 7-yard scoring strike in the fourth quarter and Josh Peterson tacked on a 1-yard touchdown plunge to bring the score to its final.

Gladbrook-Reinbeck outgained North Tama (1-2, 1-0) 586-207 in total offense despite the Rebels' two turnovers. Lott finished 9-for-15 passing for 130 yards with three TDs and an interception, and carried 16 times for 241 yards. Peterson ended with a career-high 129 yards on 17 carries, and Murty led the receivers with three catches for 55 yards. Johannsen had three grabs for 42 yards and two TDs.

North Tama quarterback Skyler Staker finished 13-for-27 passing for 187 yards, finding five different receivers in the loss. Noah Bond had two catches that gained 76 yards, and Tayten Payne made four receptions for 42 yards.

Gladbrook-Reinbeck goes to GMG next Friday night, while North Tama entertains Hudson.
