Vern Paustain is celebrating his 90th birthday on Sept. 16 at Westview Estates.

Mr. & Mrs. Ken Strohbehn will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 23 at the Gladbrook Memorial Bldg.

Lois Snow will celebrate her 90th birthday on Sept. 13 with a card shower.

Mr. & Mrs. Brandson Krusey are parents of a daughter born August 31.

Marcia Knaack, 46, Des Moines, died August 27.

Virgil Paige, 97. Dike, died Sept. 5 at the Grundy Hospital..

Yvonne Keith, 78, Waterloo, died Sept. 1 at Allen Hospital following surgery.

Mr. & Mrs. Kirk Dinsdale are parents of a son born Aug. 31.

Mr. & Mrs. Brad Evenson are parents of a daughter born Aug. 29.

Mr. & Mrs. Maurice Bolt will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.

George Dew, 71, Reinbeck, died Sept. 13.

PVT. Thomas Hurley, son of Mr. & Mrs. Paul Hurley, has completed one station unit at the U.S. Army Infantry School in Fort Benning, Ga.

Mr. & Mrs. Steve Framptom, Gilbertville, are parents of a daughter born Sept. 11.

Mr. & Mrs. John Hauge, Des Moines, are parents of a daughter born Sept. 11.

Mr. & Mrs. Jeff Storjohann are parents of a daughter born Sept. 11.

United Church of Christ plans a centennial celebration open house with special worship and potluck picnic.

Mr. & Mrs. Charles Neil celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary.

Mrs. Roy Claussen, 70, Gladbrook, died Sept. 14 following several years of failing health.

Doug Cannon enrolled as a Cadet at St. John's Military School in Salina, Kan.

Mr. & Mrs. Mrs. Dennis Crouse are parents of a son born Sept. 16.

Mrs. Evelyn Seery, 55, died Sept. 14.

Great Western Railroad Depot which has served the community since 1884, is being razed.

LuMay Hulme, Dinsdale, and Don Podhajasky, Traer, were married Sept. 16.

Mr. & Mrs. Gerald Robinson observed their 25th wedding anniversary on Sept. 27.
