Dear Editor,

When it comes to loading the deck, check out one of our city council member's plays. He was originally on the day care board and the city council. Since he knew the day care was going to ask the city for money, he resigned his position on the day care board which left him on the city council. The stated reason was a conflict of interest and yet this same person has served on the both organizations for a while. I wonder if this person knew the day care was coming to ask the city for money and knew he could better serve to get that money if he voted for the donation from the city as a council member. Seems like loading the deck to me.

The appropriate action for this person should have been to resign from both positions due to a conflict of interest that rendered him biased.

Wouldn't it be nice if all the facts regarding the city's day care donation were presented accurately and completely?
