IOWA FALLS - Marcos Vila scored a hat trick to help Class 2A No. 6 Iowa Falls-Alden deny 1A No. 4 Grundy Center/Gladbrook-Reinbeck, 7-3, on Monday night.

The host Cadets improved to 15-0 with the high-scoring win. Iowa Falls-Alden has scored at least four goals in all of its games this season, though Grundy Center/Gladbrook-Reinbeck's three goals was the most the Cadets have allowed.

Logan Steelman and Logan Ward both had two goals and two assists for IFA, and Koltan Peterson made 22 saves in net for the win.

Cale Hendricks, Thomas Mussig and Walker Thede each tallied a goal, and Erik Knaack had two assists for GC/G-R (8-6), which lost its fourth-straight to close the regular season. The Rebels played their final six games away from home, going 1-5 in that stretch.

Goalkeeper Parker Bown made seven saves on 14 shots on goal in the loss.
