Seventh-ranked Trojans rip Rebels 82-27

REINBECK - Teresa Disney recorded her first-career double-double and the Class 3A No. 7 West Marshall girls' basketball team soundly defeated Gladbrook-Reinbeck 82-27 in Thursday's NICL West Division game.

The freshman Disney was one of four Trojans to score in double figures, finishing with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Brooke Snider led West Marshall (15-0, 8-0) with 18 points.

Shannon Breja chalked up 14 points, five rebounds, five steals and three assists, and Kayla Cripps racked up 12 points, five rebounds and four steals. Emma Meyer added six points and six assists for the Trojans.

Taylor Gienger scored seven points to lead Gladbrook-Reinbeck (0-13, 0-7), which was playing the last of seven consecutive home games. Megan Swanson added six points, Rachel Cooley had five points and Maddie Frischmeyer added four points for the Rebels.
