RebelHawks tie for 4th in own invite

REINBECK - The Gladbrook-Reinbeck/North Tama wrestling team tied for fourth place at its home tournament, totaling 197 points on Saturday. Dike-New Hartford took top honors with 351 points. Oelwein came in second with 316, and West Delaware was a distant third with 198. Mid-Prairie tied G-R/NT for fourth.

Heavyweight Tanner Calderwood was the top RebelHawk wrestler, finishing second. He won his first two bouts by fall, pinning Oelwein's Riley McKeeman in 1 minute, 37 seconds, and D-NH's Steven Barker in 2:00. Calderwood won by injury default before getting pinned by D-NH's Chase Ahrends in 5:03 in the final round.

Also collecting a second-place honors was Cael Kopriva at 160 pounds. Kopriva won his first four matches of the day, three by fall, before being pinned in the final round.
