New format is first major change to the Reinbeck Courier in fifteen years.

Winona Barfels, 88, Reinbeck, died Dec. 25 at Parkview Manor.

Mr. & Mrs. Caleb Sieh, Burnsville, Minn. are parents of a son born Dec. 5.

Onefest is set to rock at UNI Dome on Dec. 29-30. This is a Christian music fest through the message of electrifying music.


DEC. 26, 1996

Jill Hockeymer, Hudson, has been awarded a $600 Lutheran Brotherhood Scholarship.

Mandy Messerly, Reinbeck and Aaron Russell, Gladbrook, will spend the spring semester studying in London on the International Studies Program conducted by Central College.

A new city shed is being constructed to house all street equipment and offices for the street, water and sewer departments.

Mr. & Mrs. Gary Monaghan, Waterloo, have purchased the Deb Miller home at 505 Blackhawk. Laurie Wingers, Waterloo & Rick Coffman purchased the James Nelson home at 304 Upper Ridge. Clara Boeckenheuer, Waukon has purchased the Brent Scheumann home at 914 Blackhawk. In a private family sale, Mr. & Mrs. Alan Bachman of Covington, La. purchased the LeRoy Moser home at 100 Ridge.


JAN. 6, 1977

Reinbeck Council members voted to install a stop sign at Blackhawk & Main

and Broad & Main.

Several Boy Scouts camped out on Blackhawk creek in -5 degrees weather to try for the scouting "Polar Bear" award.

Mr. & Mrs. Rick Storjohann are parents of a daughter born Jan. 1, 1977.

Mr. & Mrs. Richard Cheeseman are parents of a son born Dec. 31, 1976.

Mr. & Mrs. Clarence Storjohann, Gladbrook, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.

Ralph Reinig, 69, Dinsdale, died Dec. 31.

Mrs. George Rohweder, 68, died Dec. 31.

Mrs. Robert Lonergan, 84, died Jan. 1 at Parkview Manor.

Mrs. Art Luloff, 72, died Jan. 1,
