Grundy Center, Gladbrook Reinbeck are not consolidating. A second meeting has been scheduled to discuss sharing.

Tracey Thede joins Lincoln Savings Bank as assistant vice-president/office manager for the Hudson Office. Jon Cook has been promoted in Hudson to office relations manager.

Mr. & Mrs. James Pedersen will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 11 with an open house.

Harriett Linder, Reinbeck, will celebrate her 90th birthday on Nov. 13.

Harold Selby, 73, Marshalltown, died Oct. 26 at the Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center.

Donald E. Wallace, 80, died Oct. 30 at Osage Beach, Mo.

OCT. 31, 1996

Reinbeck voters will test new voting system on Nov. 5.

Mr. & Mrs. Jack Moore are parents of a daughter born Oct. 24.

Bobbi Storey was named Homecoming Queen at Buena Vista University.

Emma Creswell celebrates her 104 birthday on Nov. 3.

NOV. 8., 1986

James Denning, 48, former Reinbeck auto dealer, was arrested and charged with first degree theft after allegedly duping a long time friend into taking out a bank loan for him.

Allen Neal, 15, son of Mike & Lynn Neal, will become an Eagle Scout in a ceremony on Nov. 9.

40 YEARS AGO

NOV. 11, 1976

Morrison residents now have a new 40x70 storage building and City Council room.

Robert Junge completed the interior & exterior renovation on the old theater building. It will provide several apartments.

Mrs. Richard Wood, Reinbeck, was a $400 winner at Ernie's Super Valu Bankroll.

50 YEARS AGO

NOV. 10, 1966

The fire department was called to the Joe Greiner farm for a hay baler fire and also a grass fire at the Harold Downey farm.

Mr. & Mrs. Chris Stephan are celebrating 30 years in the bakery business.

Reinbeck Canning Co. owned by Sylvan Berry of Texas has been sold to Donald Hoeft of Milwaukee, Wis.
