News from the Black Hawk Nighthawks 4-H club

October 9, 2016
Lilian Heinzel - Black Hawk Nighthawks reporter , Reinbeck Courier

The Black Hawk Nighthawks' first meeting of the new season was on Sunday, September 18 at the Reinbeck Elementary. We elected our club officers and warmed up for another 4-H season. The previous year's officers ran the meeting until the time for election came. Then all club members voted for each position, and our new officers were appointed. New officers include; President Sadie Brockett, Vice President Karly Wilhau, Secretary Taylor Frischmeyer, Treasurer Emma Fleshner and Reporter Lilian Heinzel.

Our roll call was 'say a project you took to fair or your favorite fair memory.' Member's fair projects will be on display in the Reinbeck Public Library for the month of October. The presentation sign-up sheet was passed around. Our closing activity involved M&M's. Group members were given a bag of M&M's, and asked to answer questions based on the color of M&M's they had. Candy made this getting to know you activity even better.

Our next meeting will be on Sunday, October 16th at 5:00 p.m. in the Reinbeck Elementary. After which we're planning an outing to Barn Stahl Petting Zoo & Family Center. Also, on Monday, October 10th our club has been invited to share information on our 4-H activities and club to the Women's Club.
