In order to better serve our patrons, the library is planning on putting in automatic doors. The entire cost of this project is estimated at $4,630. This includes the cost of materials, installation, wiring and raising the sidewalk at the approach to the door. To date, we have received $625 specifically for this project from LSB, Moeller and Walter, and Tom and Vicki Bicket. If you would like to donate to the cause, you may certainly do so. Contact the library for details.

Story time has started up again after summer reading. Programs are held on Tuesday mornings at 10:00 a.m. The next one will have a back to school theme and will be held on August 23, the first day of school. Janet Schildroth will do the program. Also during the month of August stop in and look at our display case. It has Ann Rae Billerbeck's book mark collection from around the world.

New books this week include Harry Potter and the Cursed Child by Jack Thorne, Sunday Kind of Love by Dorothy Garlock, Daughters of the Bride by Susan Mallery, Truly Madly Guilty by Liane Moriarty, Harmony by Carolyn Parkhurst, Bullseye by James Patterson, What was Mine by Helen Klein Ross, Ben-Hur by Carol Wallace (an updated version by the original author Lew Wallace's great granddaughter), Smooth Operator by Stuart Woods, The Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead and The Lost Girls by Heather Young.
