Three library contests for kids in summer reading are over. The first one: guess how many books are in the library was won by Aubrynn Sommerfelt. She had the closest guess with 22,136. Actual number was 22,085. Aubrynn had a choice of winning a basketball or a football signed by the G-R Rebels. She chose the basketball. Runner up, Jada Cheville who guessed 20,000; will win the football. Caleb Egesdal won the contest on guessing the number of items in the jar. There were 71 and Caleb guessed 73. He won bean bag toss game. Paul Brockett won the third contest, matching sports equipment with the correct sport. Paul won a 5 game combo set.

New books at the library this week include:

Non fiction: Freedom: my Book of Firsts by Jaycee Lee Dugard, Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernow.

Story time for young children will be starting up again on July 26, and continue on Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. during the school year.
