June 5, 2016
Reinbeck Courier

REINBECK - A Community Health Grant will support the Gladbrook Reinbeck School District's effort to teach a comprehensive health class to juniors and seniors. The Grundy County Memorial Hospital Foundation awarded $1,000 to the "Healthy Choices" class start-up. Hospital Foundation board member Chris Schildroth, left, presented the grant to high school principal Andy McQuillen and health teacher Andrea Rowe, right. The new course will support students' development of lifelong healthy behaviors to promote good health and prevent or delay chronic disease. Community Health Grant applications for projects that address the health needs of access, disease prevention, wellness, or chronic disease management are being accepted now through July 1. For more information, contact GCMH_Foundation@unitypoint.org, or phone Keely Harken, Foundation Development Manager at Grundy County Memorial Hospital, 319-824-5421.
