It won't be long before school is out and summer reading begins. The theme this year is "On Your Mark, Get Set..Read!" We will have several special events at the Memorial Building as well as activities held at the library. We appreciate the following businesses for making contributions to the program this year: Reinbeck Family Chiropractic, Lon's Plumbing and Heating, Farmer's Feed and Supply/Napa Autoparts, and Pioneer.

We have a variety of new books for children this week, including the following Goldfinch Award 2016-2017 titles: The Most Magnificent Thing by Ashley Spires, Help! We Need a Title! by Herve Tullet, I'm a Frog! by Mo Willems, My Grandfather's Coat by Jim Aylesworth, Ivan: The Remarkable True Story of the Shopping Mall Gorilla by Katherine Applegate, Thea Stilton and the Dancing Shadows, Sam & Dave Dig a Hole by Mac Barnett, Rosie Revere, Engineer by Andrea Beaty, Gaston by Kelly DiPucchio, The Cat, the Dog, Little Red, the Exploding Eggs, the Wolf and Grandma by Diane Fox, Red: a Crayon's Story by Michael Hall, Lion vs. Rabbit by Alex Latimer, Picture Day by Susan Nees, Fancy Nancy and the Mermaid Ballet by Jane O'Conner, Blizzard by John Rocco, The Three Ninja Pigs by Corey Rosen Schwartz, and Splat and the Cool School Trip by Rob Scotton.

May 2-8 is Children's Book Week, and will have children's art on display. We will also have a drawing for children's books. Be sure to stop in and sign up during the week.

It seems like we just had a book drawing!
