Cassie Davis has been selected to be on the North Team cheerleading squad for the Shrine Bowl on July 22 at Jack Trice Stadium at ISU campus.

Chris Ehrhardt has resigned as math teacher, football & golf coach.

Lori Weber & Steven Kesl were married on Sept. 24 at Pilgrim Heights in Montour.

Susan Boone & Brent Beichley were married Sept. 3 at the United Methodist Church in Gladbrook.

Florence Rasmussen, 94, Reinbeck, died March 29 at the Bartels Home in Waverly.


APRIL 11, 1996

Iowa Utilities Board give approval for a 4.5% increase in natural gas rates.

Jack Tinnell, former police chief of Reinbeck, has been named administrator of Mahaffic Farmstead & Stagecoach Historic Stop.

Richard & Barbara Smith will build the AmericInn west of Grundy Center.

Lester Wieben, 76, Reinbeck died April 6 at the Grundy Hospital.

Duane Greany, 80, Grundy Center, died April 8 at the Grundy Hospital.

Jesse Myli, son of Rick & Brenda Myli, will be honored at an Eagle Scout Court of Honor on April 18 at the Dike City Hall.

Mr. & Mrs. Ray Thoms, Gladbrook, will observe their 50th wedding anniversary on April 28.

Mr. & Mrs. Warren Breakenridge were married on April 19 forty years ago.

Mr. & Mrs. Danny Berregaard are parents of a son.


APRIL 17, 1986

Irma Goettsch, 69, formerly of Reinbeck, died of heart & lung disease.

Mary Iseminer, 72, Hudson, will receive a bachelor of Liberal Arts degree from UNI, just 52 years after her high school graduation.

Mr. & Mrs. Tom Freed, Huxley, are parents of a son born April 8.

Mr. & Mrs. Todd Carson, are parents of a son born April. They are the owners of Skyway Supper Club.


APRIL 22, 1976

Fire claimed the life of Roland Wiebensohn when a farm house caught on fire. Curt Ballard escaped the blaze by jumping from a 2nd floor window.

A twister like storm destroyed a large barn on the Leonard Soucek farm 8 miles South of Reinbeck.

Judy Creswell was selected as Girls State representative with Cindy Dufel as alternate.

Mr. & Mrs. John Ehrig are parents of a son born April 15.

Good neighbors of Willys Benson disked and prepared 70 acres for him. Willys is recovering from hip surgery.


APRIL 21, 1966

Maxine's Fashion Flair operated by Maxine Heuer, formerly Ida's Beauty Shop, will hold an open house on April 23.

Lynette Anderson received her nursing cap from St. Luke's School of Nursing on April 24.

Parkview Manor votes to build an addition for 20 beds.

T. Cooper Evans is a candidate for the new area VII Board of Directors for this area.

Marcia Kneeland, Reinbeck & Thomas Biencke of Fort Thomas, N.Y,. were married April 9.
