Freedom from smoking class offered for heart month

GRUNDY CENTER In honor of Heart Month in February, Grundy County Memorial Hospital is encouraging smokers who want to quit to enroll for Smoking Cessation classes. The eight-session class begins Tuesday, February 16th at Grundy County Memorial Hospital. The class will continue on Tuesday evenings at 5:00 p.m. through March 29th.

'Freedom from Smoking' is an American Lung Association approved curriculum and is taught by two GCMH nurses who are certified instructors. The course includes proven quit strategies delivered in a small-group setting. To register for the class, or for more information, phone 319-824-4189 and speak with either Brandy Tripp RN BSN or Krystle Primus RN BSN. There is a fee to cover materials. You may also enroll for the course on the hospital website, www.grundycountyhospital.org, under 'Classes and Events.' The class will take place in the GCMH Education Room. Use Entrance #3 on the west side of the hospital.
