GR 48, North Butler 6

WAVERLY - Eric Stoakes ran for three touchdowns, Jake Schuman threw for three more scores and Colton Dinsdale reached paydirt three times as the Class A No. 9 Rebels routed North Butler 48-6 in a non-district game at Walston-Hoover Stadium on the Wartburg College campus.

Stoakes carried 19 times for 176 yards, Schuman was 10-for-12 passing for 143 yards, and the Gladbrook-Reinbeck defense held the Bearcats to 87 yards of total offense. North Butler was limited to minus-11 yards rushing.

Schuman connected with Dinsdale from 15 and 10 yards and once with Matt Roeding from 8 yards out to put the Rebels (3-2, 1-1) in front. Stoakes scored on a 73-yard scamper before Dinsdale earned his hat trick on a pick-six.

Another Stoakes score, this one from 15 yards out, put the Rebels up 41-0 with 22 seconds left in the first half.

Dinsdale finished with four receptions for 39 yards and two touchdowns, while Erik Knaack had two grabs for 61 yards. Dinsdale also led the defense with 5.5 tackles, three of them going for a loss. Cameron Murphy had 1.5 quarterback sacks.
