GRUNDY CENTER Smokers who want to quit are encouraged to take advantage of the new session of smoking cessation classes beginning next week at Grundy County Memorial Hospital (GCMH). The hospital is offering the 8-session class on Tuesday evenings at 5:00 p.m. from August 4th to September 22nd.

'Freedom from Smoking' is an American Lung Association approved curriculum and is taught by two GCMH nurses who are certified instructors. The course includes proven quit strategies delivered in a small-group setting. To register for the class, or for more information, phone 319-824-5421 and speak with either Brandy Tripp RN BSN or Krystle Primus RN BSN. The cost covers materials. You may also enroll for the course on the hospital website, www.grundycountyhospital.org, under 'Classes and Events.' The class will take place in the GCMH Education Room. Use Entrance #3 on the west side of the hospital.
