Hospital announces leadership change

GRUNDY CENTER The Grundy County Memorial Hospital Board of Commissioners has announced the departure of Brian Kellar as Chief Executive Officer. Jennifer Havens RN, the hospital's Chief Clinical Officer since 2008, has been named Interim CEO.

"We are happy to have Jennifer's leadership and are confident that she and the rest of the hospital's leadership team and staff will maintain the high standards of patient care and quality as the board seeks to fill this position," remarks Brenda Davis, Board of Commissioners Chair. "The board appreciates Brian's service and the work he has completed with the hospital. We wish him well as he accepts new challenges." Kellar joined the hospital in 2013 and has accepted a position with UnityPoint Health Waterloo in business development.

Grundy County Memorial Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital affiliated with UnityPoint Health Waterloo. The hospital includes a 55-bed Long Term Care Department. More information on the hospital's health care services is available at
