Hospital offers healthy eating session

Grundy County Memorial Hospital has scheduled a session on nutrition and maintaining a healthy weight, led by a registered dietitian. The class, called 'Eat Your Heart Out', is aimed at affirming a healthy attitude toward food while increasing understanding of how food plays a role in good health. The course includes guidance on making positive lifestyle changes, meal planning tips, physical activity's role in controlling blood sugar and preventing heart disease, and much more. The class is open to the public, and individuals who have been told they have diabetes or are pre-diabetic may particularly benefit from the class, which is taught by Wendy Brewer, RDN, LD.

The course is Monday, February 23, 4:00 5:30 p.m. in the hospital's Education Room. Enter through Entrance #3 on the west side of the hospital. There is a fee for the class.
