Dear Editor,

Sunday was a fabulous day for the city of Morrison! Not only was the weather perfect, but the annual celebration known as the Pioneer Craft Fair, was one of the best ever.

The work of the County Conservation crew, the historical collections staff and all the volunteers that helped bring the day together did an outstanding job organizing the event. The various crafts from the past and learning the part Iowa played in the Civil War was educational and a part of history that needs to be told and retold. From the buck skinner camp sites, the displays outside and in the AG Hall, the crafters, the vendors, the music and the food available made it an enjoyable day to relive the challenges our ancestors experienced. We appreciate all who organized the day to all the exhibitors and the vendors for participating. We appreciate Charles Freitag for donating a piece of his art work for the raffle and all those who purchased tickets to help support the event.
