Longtime GNB Bank lender Duane Dirks has announced his upcoming retirement on July 1. Dirks has been an agricultural and commercial loan officer at GNB since 1987 and has been in ag lending since his graduation from Iowa State University in 1975. He's spent a total of 38 years in ag lending and banking, with 29 of those in Grundy Center.
Dirks and his wife, Bev, live in Grundy Center. His retirement plans include working on his wife's honey-do-list, traveling, enjoying outdoor activities and spending time at the family farm. He also plans to enjoy quality time with his family.
"Duane has been a key asset to our lending team and the GNB organization throughout his many years of service," states Bob Johanns, GNB Bank President. "He will be greatly missed, but we congratulate him as he moves into the next stage of life and all the opportunities it provides."
GNB Bank, established in 1934, is a full-service, community bank with locations in Grundy Center, Conrad, Marshalltown and Manchester. Currently its assets total $340 million, and services include banking, loans, insurance, trust, investments and real estate.
