Tara Ramsey, daughter of Gerald Ramsey, former band instructor, gave a recital at the United Methodist Church on May 30.

Laurene Knaack will celebrate her 90th birthday on May 29 with an open house at the United Methodist Church in Reinbeck.

Wendy Waleski & Chris Hall will be married June 21 at St. John's Lutheran Church.

Mr. & Mrs. Travis Clapp are parents of a daughter born May 7 at Allen Hospital.

Bernard Beninga, 74, Dike died May 14 at Allen Hospital.

Dena Nederhoff, 91, Wellsburg died May 13 at the Grundy Care Center.

Hilda Zomlek, 95, Toledo passed away May 16 at the Grandview Acres Care Center in Toledo.


JUNE 2, 1994

Elizabeth Whitlock & Brian Steinmeyer are planning a July 23 wedding.

Robert Barr, 76, died May 23.

Commencement was held on May 29.

Donald Staab, Dike, died May 31 at the Grundy Co. Hospital.

Mandy Messerly, 8, caught a 4 lb. catfish in Black Hawk Creek.


JUNE 13, 1974

Mr. & Mrs. Dennis Booth purchased the LeRoy Johnson home for $17,500.

Mr. & Mrs. Sandi Shapiro purchased the home of Vern Knaack for $24,000.

Doug Clapp, 23, to try out for the Ottawa Rough Riders pro football team.

Don Watson & son Kevin and Gene Graveman & sons Curtis and Gary, were involved in a 2 car collision on June 8.

Gail Siekfen, 35, Reinbeck, flipped the family car in a ditch near Morrison, She was not seriously injured.

Hans Ehler bought the home of Dr. H.N. Hake for $5,500.

secretary of War Dept. sent a message that P38 Lt. John Wittgreve is missing in action over France since May 25.

Mrs. Jacob Miller, 47, Morrison died May 3.
