The Black Hawk Nighthawks 4-H Club held their regular meeting on Sunday, April 14th. McKayla led us in the Pledge of Allegiance. Then roll call was say something that is the color green. Kelly read the Secretary's report & Audrey gave the Treasurer's report.
We discussed plans for the annual USPS Postal Food Drive which is being held Saturday, May 10th. We will have a short meeting before going out to collect food for the post office. There was a sign-up sheet for parents to volunteer to drive us around Reinbeck to pick up the donated food.
We discussed what dates and times in June would work best for a tour of the Grundy Hospital. Then, Malissa brought to our attention that County Extension office is hosting a photography workshop on June 8th at 2:00 p.m.. She also let us know that the Omelet Breakfast was a success with over 1,200 served! To close the business meeting, Audrey led the 4-H Pledge.

We then had four interesting & informative presentations: Drew Engel "Abraham Lincoln", Kelly Brockett "Idioms", Reagan Skovgard "Pandas" and Audrey Leyen "Chartreux Cats".
After the presentations we had a special guest speaker. Andrea Traeger, Grundy County 4-H & Youth Coordinator, talked to us about copyright information/sources for fair and other changes to fair this year as well many upcoming events.
Our next meeting will be on Saturday, May 10th at the UCC Church at 9:00 am, followed by helping pick up donated food for the Postal Food drive.
