The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a life-changing event that gives everyone in Grundy County (and around the world) a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease. We ask everyone to remember that a survivor on a cancer journey does not have the luxury of taking a day off from their fight. They have to take treatment, even when they don't feel like they have the energy; they have to eat even when they know they may get sick. It is for these reasons that we ask you to give up one night to honor someone you know touched by cancer and help keep HOPE alive that we are creating a world with less cancer. At Relay, we create a party-like atmosphere for team members camp out on the surrounding grounds for the duration of the event to enjoy music, food, fun, entertainment and activities while building camaraderie with fellow teammates and participants. Money is raised through with team fundraisers and individual funds raised secured through donations from family, friends, companies or corporations.
When: June 13th (5:00 p.m. 11:00 p.m.)
