First Presbyterian Church will hold an "Easter Sonrise" worship service, 7:30 a.m. April 20, at the church, 405 Broad Street in Reinbeck. Teens will lead worship to include hymns, contemporary music and Scripture, planned and coordinated by Lisa Roeding. Angie Kickbush will share a vocal solo.
Following the time of worship, youth will serve an Easter breakfast for $6. The menu will include pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, fruit, and beverages. Profits will go toward Kids for Kentucky, the annual summer mission trip by First Presbyterian and other area teens who will travel to do service projects in Christ's name.
At 10:30am Rev. Mike Campbell will preach a Resurrection Sunday message. Special music will be provided by the organ/piano duo of Marj Freitag and Jeanne Hoeppner.
Kids for Kentucky students, who serve fundraiser meals throughout the year, will offer an Easter Breakfast after they lead a 7:30 a.m. "Sonrise" worship service on April 20. Wyatt Swanson and Britney Keller receive funds to help Kids for Kentucky get great jobs done. They have been doing fundraisers throughout the year for their upcoming summer mission trip.
