We have some new books purchased with memorial money. The following were purchased with money given by Gary & Ginny Poppen in memory of: Jeanette & Merlin Adair, Mae Jean Hoeppner, Don Brown, Linda Gleissner, Bill Lowe, and Noah Ohrt: Second Suns by David Oliver Relin, The Devil Walks in Mattingly by Billy Coffey, Songs of Willow Frost by Jamie Ford, Worthy Brown's Daughter by Phillip Margolin, NYPD Red 2 by James Patterson, and a large print edition of Power Play by Danielle Steel.
Other memorial books are: a large print edition of Big Medicine Quartet by Louis Lamour, purchased with money given by Gloria Breakenridge and Dorothy Keith for Merlin and Jeannette Adair; and Blossom Street Brides in large print from the Reinbeck Woman's Club in memory of Mae Jean Hoeppner.
Other new books are: Missing You by Harlan Corben, Still Life With Bread Crumbs by Anna Quindlen, a large print edition of Plain Murder by Emma Miller and Burn by Julianna Baggott.
We also have new DVDS: Frozen and Saving Mr. Banks.
Andy McQuillan was here for a session on social media March 29. Those in attendance learned more about Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc. Andy will do another tech session on Saturday, April 26 at 10:00. It will be a basic class on using technology. This is free and open to the public. Come with any tech questions.
Sheryl Campbell did story time on April 1. She had a kite theme and read kite stories and poems. Sheryl also has some of her kites hanging in the library. The next story time will be held on Tuesday, April 15 at 10:00. Erica Thesing will do the program.
Also, April 13-19 is National Library Week. This year the theme is "Lives Change @ Your Library" and the honorary chair is well-known author Judy Blume. Stop in anytime during the week and sign up for a drawing. We will be giving away a variety of books.
