The 18th annual vintage music festival will take place on Sunday, March 30th from 11:30 a.m., until 7:00 p.m. at the Memorial Building, 208 Broad Street, in Reinbeck, Iowa.
The Vintage Music Festival is an all-day event for music lovers of all ages, who enjoy listening or dancing to a variety of good old-fashioned country music, classic rock & roll, and a variety of other traditional down-home music. Various area bands donate their time and talent to make this event possible each year.
This year, seven bands will take the stage throughout the day, including Route 66, The Other Band, Sugar & Spice, Last Chance Band, Jeanie Uncorked and Roger Miller, who will also be featuring students of the Jumpstart Academy-musicians of all ages who are learning to play the steel guitar. Students who will be performing this year are Kelsey Hammer, Al Schares and Aaron Mulherin. Singing with them will be Ally Bagenstos. The Jumpstart Academy (JSA) is a non-profit group created to recruit new steel guitar players by providing scholarships for selected candidates to study for one year, after which they are featured at the annual Northeast Iowa Steel Guitar Show.
Food for the Music Festival will be available for purchase, catered by Glenda Billerbeck of The Fountain on Main and The Indulge. The Legion bar will be open throughout the event, with plenty of adult beverages, as well as a variety of non-alcoholic choices available for purchase.
Admission is free, with a suggested free-will donation to help cover expenses. So gather your friends and family together and come on down to Reinbeck Sunday, March 30th for a fun-filled day of musical entertainment, food and dancing!
