REINBECK - Gladbrook-Reinbeck sophomore Camden Kickbush hit six 3-pointers and led the seventh-ranked Rebels with 24 points, while Zach Pierce added 17 points and seven rebounds during Gladbrook-Reinbeck's 71-55 win over Wapsie Valley on Thursday night.
It was the regular season finale for the Rebels, who take a 19-2 record into the Class 1A postseason.
G-R led 22-6 after one quarter and then led 36-15 at the break.
Wapsie Valley (5-15) made the score closer thanks to a 26-13 advantage in the fourth quarter.
Freshman Joe Smoldt chipped in 11 points, six assists and three steals, while Chase Clark scored 10 points and Colton Dinsdale dished out five assists.
Derek Trotter had 14 points in the loss for Wapsie Valley, while Collin Bergmann scored 12 and Billy Boies added seven.
Gladbrook-Reinbeck, winners of 11 straight, will begin 1A District 4 postseason play against either BCLUW or CAL in Reinbeck on Feb. 20 at 8 p.m.
Hudson 65, East Marshall 31
LE GRAND - Antwain Strong had a game-high 24 points and Ross Anderson chipped in 10 points Thursday night as Hudson jumped out to a 17-6 lead after one quarter and never looked back.
Hudson, which has now won three straight games, finalized its regular season at 12-9.
East Marshall heads into the postseason with seven straight losses and is 1-20 overall.
Austin Briney led the Mustangs with 11 points, while Nate DeBondt chipped in 10 and Ben Terrones scored eight.
The Mustangs will open Class 2A District 13 playoff action Feb. 17 against North Iowa Cedar League West Division rival South Hardin at North Polk High School in Alleman.
Tip-off is slated for 6:30 p.m.
South Hardin swept East Marshall this season, winning 81-47 in Le Grand and 70-49 in Eldora.
