The culmination of years of preparation and continuity planning brings Erik Skovgard to the role of Chief Executive Officer at Lincoln Savings Bank. Erik's predecessor, CEO/President Steve Tscherter will remain in transition leadership through 2014 serving as the company's President.

Erik began his career at Lincoln Savings Bank in 1994 as an intern while studying at the University of Northern Iowa where he earned his B.A. He later studied at the University of Iowa to achieve his Masters of Business Administration, and is an alumnus of the Graduate School of Banking. Erik was responsible for shaping the financial services division of Lincoln Savings Bank which includes Insurance, Wealth Management, Trust and Real Estate. This fulfilled the vision of being a complete financial solutions provider. Erik, his wife Janean, and two children live in Reinbeck, Iowa.

According to Tscherter, "We recognized Erik's leadership potential early in his career at Lincoln Savings Bank. He's leveraged his natural abilities with a willingness to learn, and openness to coaching and transparency. I'm proud of his growth and confident his leadership will compel the organization to continued success."

"I am humbled by the opportunity to lead this amazing organization." Includes Skovgard, "As a leader, Steve built on LSB's long history a foundation of strong values, leading technology and dedicated employee owners. We are well positioned to become the most valued, respected and influential independently owned financial organization in Iowa. I am looking forward to the challenge."
