Our display case for this month has a Reinbeck history theme with items from the library and various local people. These include memorabilia from the Ernest Brandhorst Pool Hall, local business calendars, Reinbeck post cards, centennial pieces, First Savings Bank of Reinbeck die stamp, and even some cans of Reinbeck Farms corn. These items will be on display throughout February.
Erica Thesing will do the next children's story time on Tuesday, February 18 at 10:00. On Wednesday, February 19 the book discussion groups meet at Westview at 4:00 and 7:00. Then on Saturday, February 22, Andy McQuillen from G-R school will do a session on using apps. This will take place at 10:00.
This is a free class open to the public. The last tech session on using ipads was well received.
So was the tech troubleshooting session by high school student Tyler Wrage. Tyler will be at the library on Wednesday afternoons that school is NOT out early from 2:00 to 3:00 to answer questions and do some program installation.
New items at the library this week include the DVD, The Butler, two large print books, Secrets on Cedar Key by Terri Dulong and Return to Tradd Street by Karen White, and an audio book on CD, War Horse by Michael Morpurgo that is in memory of Peg Brandt from Mike and Linda Rickert and Larry and Vickie Herink.
