This year IMPACT (Reinbeck Elementary Parent/Teacher group) did a Snowball Story Project instead of the usual food fundraiser. Every class picked a favorite winter or Christmas story, used a snowball provided, and created a character or scene from that book. They were displayed at the winter music concert where donations were collected as votes for their story. First prize, won by Mrs. Fleshner's 3rd grade class, was a $50 gift card to Barnes & Nobel. Second prize, won by Mrs. Etringer's kindergarten class was a $25 gift card to Barnes & Nobel. The projects are currently on display at the Reinbeck Public Library stop in and see them!
