Jodi Dinsdale received the 2003 Iowa Girls Soccer Coach of the Year at a luncheon held at Stoney Creek Inn in Johnston, Iowa on Nov. 8.

Class of 1948 holds their 55th reunion on Oct. 19, 20 & 21 in Branson, Mo.

Mr. & Mrs. Steven Martens of Nevada, are parents of a son born Oct. 27

Mr. & Mrs. Brent Cooper of Indianola are parents of a son born Nov. 6.

Dale L. Fairbanks, 75, Lincoln, died Nov. 13 at Allen Hospital.

Maxine D. Ehlers, 88, Waterloo, formerly of Reinbeck, died Nov. 17 at Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo.

Sean Williams & Alexa Hach have been nominated for the coveted Wendy's High School Heiseman Award.


NOV. 18, 1993

Don Schildroth was named INRCOG "Citizen of the Year" at their annual dinner on Nov. 4.

Delta Industry plans to expand with acquisition of a new archery line according to LaVern Woock.

Mr. & Ms. Peter Bowen are parents of a son born Nov. 14.

Mr. & Mrs. Tim Billerbeck are parents of a daughter.

Mr. & Mrs. Jim Brubaker are parents of a son born Oct. 14.

Ed Hooper will be celebrating his 80th birthday on Nov. 27.

Mr. & Mrs. Paul Roberts will celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary

Klaas Kruger, 79, Holland, died Nov. 13 at the Grundy Co. Memorial Hospital.

Darlene Raines, 66, Brookville, Fla. passed away on Nov. 1.

Tom Arjes, 16, Parkersburg died Nov. 2 at his parents home.

Diedrick (Dick) Luhrs, 92, Holland, died Oct. 3 at the Grundy Co. Memorial Hospital.

Harriett Sealman, 73, Grundy Center, died Oct. 30 at Allen Hospital.

John L. Price, 87, Grundy Center, died Nov. 4 at the Grundy Co. Hospital.

Senator John Jensen will seek re-election.


NOV. 24, 1983

Mr. & Mrs. Bruce Miller of San Diego are parents of a son born Nov. 3.

Shelley Gage and Michael Schoning were married Nov. 5.

Mr. & Mrs. Melvin Froistad, Gladbrook, will celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary on Nov. 27 at the Salem Church in Lincoln.

Reinbeck Library had an open house to dedicate the new children's section with a formal ribbon cutting ceremony.


NOV. 29, 1973

Martha Vogt won $1,300 in the weekly bankroll at Ernie's Super Valu.

Charles A. Engle, Gladbrook, has been charged with the shot gun slaying of his wife on Nov. 23. His wife, Carol, 23, was found dead at their home by Gladbrook police. She died of a single shot to the chest.

Janola J. Neil and Patrick F. Hartz were married Nov. 24 at the United Presbyterian Church in Reinbeck.

Deborah Hultman and Mark J. Gordon were married Nov. 17 at the United Methodist Church in Reinbeck.

Mr. & Mrs. Carl Schneider of Altoona are parents of a son born Nov. 27.


NOV. 1963

President John F. Kennedy was killed by a sniper Lee Harvey Oswald, in Dallas, Texas on Nov. 22.

A $75,000 bond issue of acquiring land for a park and public golf course was voted down in Grundy Center.

Rev. Jack Amon resigned on Nov. 24 at the First Baptist Church in Reinbeck.

Mr. & Mrs. John Schlict sold their farm to Mr. & Mrs. Kenneth Scheuman of Hoagland, Ind.


NOV. 1953

Dr. G.A. Biebersheimer, 71, died of a heart attack on Nov. 25. He practiced medicine in Reinbeck for 43 years.

Lion's Club to stage a white elephant sale on Dec. 12 at the Memorial Bldg.

Mr. & Mrs. James E. Miller, Grundy Center, are parents of a son born Nov. 22.

Jean Humphrey & Dean Fleming were married Nov. 12.


NOV. 1943

Fire destroyed the house that covers the electric pumping apparatus north of the Great Western Depot.

Grace Beenken, 20, daughter of Herman Beenken, while helping with the corn harvest and got her left arm in the elevator breaking it in three places and dislocating her shoulder.
