Tile drainage for profitable crop production held in Grundy Center

November 24, 2013
Reinbeck Courier

ISU Extension Specialists Matt Helmers, Dan Huyser and Kelvin Leibold will be in Grundy Center December 2, 2013 to present a program on tile drainage for profitable crop production. Class is open to the public and all are invited to participate in this two hour class.

As more producers utilize yield mapping, the loss of poor yield to poor drainage conditions has become more apparent. This has increased the questions and demand for information on how we can efficiently utilize tile drainage to improve crop production in eastern Iowa. To help answer these and other questions on tile drainage on Iowa soils, a drainage workshop has been scheduled at the Grundy Center Community Center on December 2, 2013 from 1-3:30 p.m.

There is a fee for this workshop. To register call Shari at the Grundy County Extension Office at 319-824-6979, e-mail sellbakk@iastate.edu or visit our office at 703 F Avenue, Suite 1, Grundy Center. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged.
