Moms Morning Out will be Tuesday, October 29, 10-11:30 a.m. in Reinbeck, but as soon as they hear back from people, they can change the day of the week for next time. Sheryl Campbell is the guide for this new event in Reinbeck and Grundy Center. Moms Morning Out is a local faith-based opportunity for mothers of pre-school and school-age children and teens to gather for spiritual nourishment as well as snacks and an opportunity to make a decorator craft. There were two October sessions scheduled; one which already has occurred in Grundy Center, and one Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church, 405 Broad Street in Reinbeck. "I am new in town and forgot to check with the Reinbeck Library. I am so sorry to have scheduled this event the same time as story hour, which could easily involve many of the same people. Since we have so much publicity out there, we thought we should not change this first session, but we would like to know if there is interest for a group like this in Reinbeck," said Campbell. She requests that anyone interested come to the first meeting on October 29 ANY time between 10 and 11:30 even if it is just for a few minutes. Or she would welcome phone calls, texts or emails from interested people as to what day/s of the week they may be most available. A decision will be made soon after October 29, and publicity for a November session will follow. Campbell's contact information is 319-231-9161 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The women will look together at a book, "Living Above Worry and Stress. We got a greatly reduced rate from the publisher for multiple copies, so this book will be available for a donation of any amount. I have been involved with a monthly Thursday evening group using this book for discussion and just loved it, so I thought it would be terrific for this group, too.
One of our Grundy group is making sure we'll have home baked goodies and some healthy fruit-veggie snacks. Moms with infants/children not in school are invited to bring the kids along. They will have their own Christian video to view and an opportunity to do coloring/puzzle sheets. Also they can join their moms for the craft, which is making a really cute harvest pumpkin garland for home decorating, just in time for Halloween and Thanksgiving," added Campbell.
Although the group is hosted at First Presbyterian Church, it is considered non-denominational and all are welcome from any church or no church. For additional information, please contact Sheryl Campbell at 319-231-9161 or email@example.com.
