Children enjoyed story time with Erica Thesing on September 17. The next story time will be held on Tuesday, October 1 at 10:00. Michele Knaack will do the program. If you are at the art festival on Saturday, the 28th, you may want to visit the library to see the recently redecorated children's section upstairs. This includes two larger than life wooden story book characters: Clifford the big red dog, and the Cat in the Hat, both done by Ray Rannfeldt.

New books at the library this week include: a large print edition of Second Watch by J.A. Jance, purchased with memorial money for Helen Garvey, Ginny Poppen's mother, given by Jeanine Frier and Alice Oelschlager.

Other books include:

Fiction: W is For Wasted by Sue Grafton, Archangel by Andrea Barrett, The Quest by Nelson DeMille, Thankless in Death by J.D. Robb, and The Longest Ride by Nicholas Sparks.

Young adult: Michael Vey: Battle of the Ampere by Richard Paul Evans.

Children's: Meltdown Madness and Stranger Things both by David Luber, Me and My Dragon: Scared of Halloween by David Biedrzycki, Year of the Jungle by Suzanne Collins, Wild Born by Brandon Mull, Treasure Hunters by James Patterson, Ling & Ting Share a Birthday by Grace Lin, The Blessing Cup by Patricia Polacco, Locomotive by Brian Floca, Joe Glacco and the Baltimore Ravens: Super Bowl XLVII by Michael Sandler and The Year of Billy Miller by Kevin Henkes.
