Ashley Jessick and Allen Bohnstengel (formerly of Reinbeck) were married on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Lutheran Church of the Master in Elkhorn, Neb., Rev. Kip Tyler officiated. Ashley is the daughter of Gina and Duane Jessick of Omaha, Neb. and Allen is the son of Mrs. Karen (and Lynn) Rohach of Reinbeck, Iowa and James Bohnstengel of Faribault, Minn. Allen is the grandson of Marlys and Berwyn Johnson of Cedar Falls, Iowa, the late Eldon Bohnstengel of Traer, Iowa, Arlene and the late Lawrence Wrage of Traer, Iowa, and Lovelle Rohach of Hudson, Iowa. The bride is the granddaughter of Phyllis and the late Eugene Jessick of Ill. and Lomia and the late James Clayton Nalley of N.C.
Personal Assistant to the bride was longtime friend Mitzi Wilkening of Ames, Iowa. The maid of honor was sister of the bride - Lauren Jessick of Omaha, Neb. Matron of honor was Rebecca Scott of Muscatine, Iowa. Bridesmaids were Jessica McIntyre and Christine Rhodes both of Des Moines Iowa. Making her flower girl debut was Brooklyn Jessick, daughter of Matthew and Sarah Jessick of Omaha, Neb., cousin of the bride.
Ashley was escorted down the aisle by her father wearing a one shoulder ivory taffeta dropped waist gown adorned with crystal beads and ivory pearls along the shoulder and bodice. The bride carried a bouquet of Irish fern, purple hydrangeas, Casablanca roses and pearled inset stephanotis. The groom was attended by his brother & best man - David Bohnstengel of Des Moines, Iowa. Groomsmen's were Allen Scott of Muscatine, Iowa, Aaron Brace of Des Moines, Iowa, and Brian Vanecek of Omaha, Neb. Hosts for the bride's family were close family friends Nena Cooney & Steve Reida of Omaha, Neb. & Jerry and Jan Schultz of Gladbrook, Iowa; Uncle and Aunt to the groom.
Bridesmaids wore classic cocktail length dresses in solid royal purple satin and carried petite clutch bouquets collared in black satin with purple hydrangea's, mini green spider mums, Irish fern and ivory spray roses. The groom and his men wore tailored black classic fit tuxedos. The wedding color scheme was apple green, royal purple & black. The couple & their wedding party made their way from the church in a chauffeured green trolley named Lucille, marking the beginning of their night of celebration. After the ceremony, 250 guests enjoyed an evening of cocktails, dinner, and dancing at The DC Centre, Omaha, Neb.
The couple met at Iowa State University in Ames Iowa, where Ashley received a Master's degree in toxicology and Allen received a Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering. Ashley is a Quality Control Specialist employed with Transgenomic, Inc. Allen is an Industrial Engineer with the First Data Corporation. Following their Honeymoon to Puerto Rico, St Kitts, and St. Maarten aboard a luxury cruiseliner, the happy couple made their home in Omaha Neb.
