Attention kids: We have one more summer reading program to take place: Cole Anderson from the Grundy County Conservation Office will do a presentation at the Memorial Building on Wednesday, July 31 at 2:00. This is a rescheduled event from June. The program is free and open to the public.
The evening book discussion group will be meeting at Westview on Wednesday, August 21 at 7:00 p.m. The book selection will be Bonesetter's Daughter by Amy Tan. If you would like to take part and need a copy of the book, contact the library. The afternoon group will not meet until September.
New books this week include: The Light in the Ruins by Chris Bohjalian, which is in memory of Susan Wyatt from Louis and Shirley Schildroth, a large print edition of Woodrose Mountain which is also in memory of Susan Wyatt from Paul and Jan Ehrig, Bombshell by Catherine Coulter, A Home at Trail's End and Lock, Stock, and Over a Barrel both by Melody Carlson, Sisters of Mercy Flats by Lori Copeland, Dead Lawyers Tell No Tales by Randy Singer, A Simple Change by Judith Miller, and The Letters by Suzanne Wood Fisher.
New young adult books include: Fragments and Partials both by Dan Wells and A Simple Song by Melody Carlson.
Children's books include: Diary of a Worm: Teacher's Pet by Lori Haskins Houran, Cowboy Up!:Ride the Navajo Rodeo by Bo Flood, Barbed Wire Baseball by Marissa Moss, Kelsey Green, Reading Queen by Claudia Mills and The Life of Ty: Penguins Problems by Lauren Myracle.
