The Grundy County Extension and Outreach needs volunteers for Non-Livestock judging on July 22, 2013 at the Grundy County Fairgrounds.
Volunteers are responsible for writing down judge's comments while the judge is talking with the 4-H participant. It will be split this into two separate shifts, but you are welcome to do both. The first shift starts at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 11:15 a.m. and the second shift starts at 11:00 a.m. and will be finished by 1:30 p.m.
"Being a comment writer gives you the opportunity to see wonderful projects the youth in this county work hard on. It allows you the opportunity to learn or review what the judges look for in each project area," says Kelsey Mumm, Summer 4-H & Youth assistant.
We are also looking for volunteers to help with putting projects away in the 4-H exhibits building. The shifts are two hours long the first shift starts at 9:00 a.m. The other shifts start at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Please let us know by July 12 if you would be willing to volunteer. Call 319-824-6979 or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have questions or if you would like to volunteer.
