FSA crop certification deadline

July 7, 2013
Reinbeck Courier

The Grundy County Farm Service Agency (FSA) Office is reminding producers they must file their acreage reports accurately and timely for all crops and land uses, including prevented and failed acreage, to ensure they receive the maximum FSA program benefits possible.

Acreage reports are considered timely filed when completed by the applicable final crop reporting deadline which is July 15th in Iowa. The prevented planting reporting deadline for corn and soybeans has been extended to July 15th. Due to budget constraints and weather delays in planting, the Grundy County FSA office will not be sending out appointment cards this year as in the past and ask that producers contact our office at 319-824-5416 to set up an appointment to certify.
